| | And here comes the faithful day, Friday, April 25, 2008: PROM DAY!!!
Hurrah! So, this year was quite an unbelievable lot like last year; there was the same DJ, there were the same songs, and I saw a lot of the same people there too. The only difference (and I’m not saying it isn’t significant) was that Kitty, Jimmy, and Bri were there (Hurrah!) and Vanilla P was not (Boohoo!!!)
Okay, so the day started out like just about any other – I had my breakfast and ended up staying in my PJs ‘till two – but unlike every other morning, I woke up thinking, “Oh crud. Today is prom.” For some reason, I felt so under-prepared for prom this year. I think it’s because this would be my second time and it’s not as special as the first, and I didn’t have as much time to mentally prepare. Last year, I think I called DQ everyday for the two months before prom and spent much time and effort in the dressing rooms trying to find the perfect fit, whereas this year, I talked to her twice about meeting for pictures before prom and once at POINT I showed her my dress.
I’m not really sure what’s been going on with me lately, but I’ve been feeling more and more of how fake this life is. Like, all these things I do for fun aren’t going to last or even matter later… I don’t know. But I do know this: I love my friends. You guys (well, girls too) are the coolest ever!
This year, my date was DQ. Lol. You know, though, it’s really, really nice not having to worry about dates or whatever; I got to dance with all the guys (except for Jimmy – Slacker! Went to the car an hour in ‘cause he was tired…) and all the girls (go Kitty! She’s crazy…) and it was amazing fun. Well, here is an enormously long post of pictures…
